As I have stated elsewhere in this blog, I am one of those who is against the use of cell phones while driving. This includes both talking and text messaging.

This past week, Michigan became one of a growing number of states that have passed law making it possible for police to pull over drivers for sending text messages while driving. It is about time. The only problem that I can see is that it would be difficult to distinguish between who is dialing their cell phone, which is still legal, and someone who is reading a text message or sending one. Most people in this country are completely clueless when they drive anyway.
