Six year anniversary

Today is the sixth anniversary of the September 11 attacks on the U.S. Since then, are we as a country any safer than we were before the attack? The truth is that we as a whole are not.
The actions that we have taken since September 11, 2001 have cost this country billions of dollars in a war against a country that had nothing to do with the terrorist attacks, not to mention any credibility we might have had with the world at large. For one day, the entire world rallied to our side. And our president sqaundered all that simpathy needlessly starting a war with a country that was perfectly stable before we were there. Thanks to President Bush, we are now stuck in the middle of another country's civil war that by the way we happened to start in the first place. THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH, FOR WASTING BILLIONS OF TAX PAYER MONEY AND THOUSANDS OF AMERICAN LIVES INVADING A COUNTRY THAT WAS PERFECTLY FINE WITHOUT OUR INTERFERENCE!
The invasion of Iraq has served as a recruiting device for those who hate the West in general and the U.S. in particular. Their resolve has been strengthened by our actions in the Middle East. We have lost our focus.
Osama Bin Laden is probably sitting in a cave laughing somewhere laughing his ass off and is definitely planning his next move. For certain, his resolve and focus has not been shaken.
