Blog of a discontent conforming noncomformist

Recently, I have come to the conclusion that fundamentalists Christians tend to be the worst bunch of hypocrytes and bullies around. Take the case in Berkley about the decision to display the nativity scene on municipal property. I am sure that the majority of the people in Berkley are Christian, but we do live in a country where the minority has rights, too. Do these people really have to be subject to such a display when Thanksgiving hasn't even come to pass yet?

The First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution gaurantees us separation of church and state. That means that we have both freedom of religion and freedom from religion. This country was founded on the idea of freedom of religion, not Judeo-Christian doctrine as the Christian right would want people to think. America will never be a Christian nation. Sorry Ann Coulter, your wish will never come true.

Some of the worst atrocities in history have been committed in the name of Christ. Ask yourself, WWJD( WHAT WOULD JESUS DO?)
