My take on Christian Fundamentalists

The Constitution of the United States is under attack! Our founding fathers hated Christianity. Separation of the church and the state was one of the founding ideals of the founding fathers. They did not approve of the wars fought and atrocities committed in the name of Christ simply because of little variations in the different faiths. Examples of the wars and atrocities are the Spanish Inquisition and the Crusades. The founding fathers of the United States did not want that here.
Christian fundamentalists are looking to have the principles behind the United States Constitution subverted to suit their particular faiths. Yet, the Constitution provides with the right to freedom of religion. It also provides us with the right to be free from the constraints of religion.
Christian fundamentalists have sown nothing but hatred for those who belive differently from what they believe. They show nothing but bigotry and hypocrisy in their condemnation of people of other faiths,(Muslims and so forth). If these people wanted Christianity as their faith, they would have adopted it a long time ago.
Right now, our country is stuck in the middle of a civil war that we happened to kick start. AGAIN, THANK YOU, PRESIDENT BUSH, FOR COSTING THE AMERICAN TAXPAYERS BILLIONS OF DOLLARS ANAD THE LOSS OF OVER 3,000 LIVES. YOU AND YOUR CRONIES HAVE COST THIS COUNTRY ANY CREDIBILITY WE MIGHT HAVE HAD WITH THE REST OF THE WORLD!

The stain of hatred

This evening, I was watching the movie American_History_X. While I was watching this movie, I was reminded just how ugly hatred of any kind can really be. Hatred is the only real evil that we need to protect our children from. Hatred is vile, infectious, blind, and ultimately self-defeating.
Unfortunately, it is blind hatred that permeates our culture to the point where all some people know how to do is hate each other often for nothing but what seems like the most idiotic of differences.
Why do we hate? What purpose does hatred serve? Muslim fundamentalists are trying to convert our entire world to Islam. Christian fundamentalists are trying to make Christianity the only religion we should adopt. They both use hatred and fear as a way to rationalize trying to push their respective faiths on the rest of the world and have
the nerve to call anyone who does not convert evil.
Blind, ignorant hatred is the only evil that America should combat. Often, we hate each other simply because of simple differences. Skin color is only skin deep. And the Jewish people have been repeatedly attacked throughout history. Yet, those have often been enough to drive some people to commit heinous acts of genocide and linch mobs.
Hatred is blind and ignorant and has no rational reason.

Morons to the rescue!

This last week, our "legislature" here in the state of Michigan, after a year of bickering, name-calling, and otherwise extremely childish behavior, closely averted a complete shut down of our state government. James W. Higgins stated his opinion in this matter very clearly.
Our state has the only full-time legislature in the whole country. Yet, our state senators and representatives pay for anything out of pocket. Take for instance, their recent conference in Hawaii, paid for by the tax payers of Michigan. What, a person who makes north of one hundred thousand a year cannot pay for their own trip? Another area where they could have saved money is to have our state legislators pay for their own housing expenses and their own vehicles.
Like most of the other states, what Michigan needs is a part time legislature run by people who know what they are doing. Spending money is easy, it is spending it wisely that takes having a brain.
